2021 : Launch of the new Product Database on JdC workspace
A further cancellation of the 2021 physical edition due to the global health situation – COVID 19 –
and a new online product database that allowed exhibitors to highlight their collections and innovations toward registered buyers.
More than 1,500 detailed product sheets from the 315 JdC Garden Trends’ exhibitors were available for buyers to view online. The product database proved to be a decisive tool for the 2022 listings that were forced to be done remotely.
2020 : JdC Connect – A ” digital edition ” to allow the garden sector to work despite the health crisis.
With the physical edition 2020 forced to be cancelled due to the global health situation – COVID 19 – exhibitors and buyers registered for the JdC Garden Trends 2019 were able to make contact easily in a digital way through JdC Connect.
The event organisation worked hard to provide its loyal suppliers and buyers with solutions to continue working on their products’ listings despite this situation.
April 2019: Garden Collections awards growing strength and a new “retail dating” program
1300 decision-makers and 360 exhibitors have been attending the trade show and taken advantage of JdC Garden Trends” program. The Garden Gollections Awards have been enjoying a new born for the 17th edition, with 5 leading retailers assuming the jury role! A Food superstore (E.Leclerc), DIY store (LEROY MERLIN), Garden Centers and Independant gardening stores (BOTANIC / TRUFFAUT / GAMM VERT) elected the 19 innovative winning products for their categories. >> More info
To create more and more link between the participants, the very appreciated first session of “Retail Dating” took place with BOTANIC at the conference area.
April 2018: A varied and rich program, an international shift and a new name for the fair: JdC – Garden trends
2018 edition offered to decision-makers and exhibitors gathered together, a rich program: an awaited opening conference with Thierry BLANDINIERES – general Director of InVivo, a leading French agricultural cooperative group, conferences about European and French Trends for next year, and the “standard” but unmissable other programs of the tradeshow: “Prix des Collections Jardins” awarding the best products for next season, products’ speed-dating “60 seconds to convince”, thematic paths…etc
An international shift for this 2018 edition, to meet exhibitors’ needs: A new name for the tradeshow, a dedicated conferences program, a bilingual catalogue, a special path for international visitors, a dedicated international visitors manager in the organisation team…etc. An encouraging start with an increasing of almost 20% of international visitors compared to 2017.
April 2017: inauguration of the « mechanized gardening » dedicated area and a new concept for Garden Collections Awards.
A real growth for JdC 2017: almost 1200 decision-makers (+14% vs 2016) came to meet 350 exhibitors (+25 exhibitors vs 2016).
A vibrant and innovative edition : A new « mechanized gardening » dedicated area, Garden collections awards products rewarded by « retail chain-juries », products’ speed-dating « 60 seconds to convince », « Thematic paths », Trends conferences… which managed to meet decision-makers and exhibitors’ needs!
April 2015: The ’Journées des Collections Jardin’s fair moves to Marseille
For optimal preparation in the middle of the listing period, Parc Chanot offers both indoor and outdoor spaces in a green environment to facilitate demonstrations, business exchanges and discover innovations and trends… without being exposed to weather hazard.
2014: Premiere for the LSA Garden Innovation Awards
Established in 2014 by LSA (professional distribution magazine), the LSA Garden Innovation Awards are awarded to industrials in the gardening sector who innovate in different categories.
The Awards will be held on the first day of the ‘Journées des Collections Jardin’s fair.
In 2015, 14 trophies were awarded in 5 categories: Smart gardening, Gardening tools, Decoration, Garden furniture, Equipment.
2012: Creation of the Trends area together with Chlorosphere
In partnership with Chlorosphere, a professional agency specialized in the gardening sector for plants and garden landscaping trends, we displayed in the limelight the latest market trends and innovations in a dedicated area located at the entrance of the fair: the Trends Area.
2010: Creation of the Innovations Area
Established to highlight novelties, innovations and thus setting the scene for over 100 original and promising products, the Innovations Area displays a not to be missed collection of future key trends. It represents another essential working tool f and is invaluable when it comes to deciding which new products to carry in stock.
